Mountain Valley Developmental Services got its start in Glenwood Springs in the 1970s when parents who needed help for their own children made it a DIY project. Today Mountain Valley serves about 150 people across four counties, offering clients work opportunities and day programs.
Mountain Valley’s mission is to enhance their clients’ ability to live, learn, and work in an independent and inclusive manner. Got Sneakers’ mission is to recycle and reuse quality pre-owned sneakers.
Now the two are getting together to keep your old sneakers out of the landfill and use the proceeds for enrichment services that include art, recreation and community activities for local people with disabilities.
