Voters in Pitkin, Garfield, and parts of Eagle County are seeing Measure 7a on their ballot this week. If passed, the measure would implement a 0.25% sales tax hike to establish a new childcare district, overseen by a board of elected officials, which would manage funds to expand access to early childhood education from Parachute to Aspen. KDNK sat down to discuss ballot measure 7A with Rob Stein, former superintendent of the Roaring Fork School District, and Confluence Early Childhood Education leader Maggie Tiscornia to learn more.
