For the first time Soldner Center hosts music therapy for vets

Music Therapist Mack Bailey will help lead the retreat along with several professional songwriters.

This weekend, veterans will be welcomed at the Soldner Center in Aspen. A music therapy retreat will be offered free to local veterans to transform lingering trauma into creative release. KDNK’s Marilyn Gleason talked with Stephanie Soldner about the free opportunity for local vets.

Veterans who want to register for the program this weekend can do so online at Soldner Center dot com, then look under the Events tab. No musical experience is required.

Marilyn Gleason is the graduate of CU Boulder's journalism school. She started her radio career in the Roaring Fork Valley at KAJX in Aspen, then came to KDNK in 2000 as the station was in the early stages of forming a local news program. Marilyn returns to direct a growing news team at KDNK.
