Salmon numbers are improving in the Blue Mesa Reservoir. Over 12 million kokanee salmon eggs have been collected at the hatchery versus 2 million last year. They are used to stock reservoirs with kokanee salmon, a sport fish that makes for great eating, all around the state of Colorado.
