BLM Seeks Public Comment on Oil & Gas Proposal for 27,000 Acres in Garfield & Mesa Counties

The Bureau of Land Management is requesting public comment on a proposal to offer 27 parcels of federal minerals in northwestern Colorado in the December 2017 competitive oil and gas lease sale. The proposal includes about 5,000 acres in western Garfield County and more than 22,000 acres in Mesa County. The State of Colorado would receive 49 percent of the proceeds with the remainder going to the U.S. government. Comments must be received by June 9th and may be emailed to blm_co_december_2017_lease_sa@blm.gov or mailed to the Bureau of Land Management, Attn: Dec 2017 Lease Sale, 220 E. Market St., Meeker, CO 81641.

The Carbondale Rotary Club sponsored him as a youth ambassador to Chile the year before his graduation from Roaring Fork High School.
