Discussions at a House Natural Resources Field Hearing in Grand Junction this month focused on boosting the market for natural gas from the Piceance Basin with the Jordan Cove Energy Project. Congressmen from Utah and Colorado at the hearing claim Piceance natural gas can be developed responsibly. But, protestors outside the hearing said politicians and the natural gas industry are selling out public health and western Colorado’s iconic natural beauty. KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh has this report.
