A woman in Pitkin County tested positive for COVID-19 this weekend but not until she returned home to Australia. Pitkin County officials held a press call Monday to talk about precautions. Around 4:30 Monday afternoon, March 9, the Eagle County Public Health Department reported the second confirmed case of COVID-19 in the county - a local woman in her 70s with a recent travel history. The case is presumptive positive, which means test results haven’t yet been confirmed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
