The Board of Trustees at Colorado Mountain College announced this week the college will waive tuitions, books, and fees this summer. KDNK’s Lucas Turner has more.

CMC will waive fees for 3 categories of students:

  1. Those taking credit, English as a Second Language, and GED courses who qualify as in-district
  2. In-state students who took credit courses in spring 2020
  3. Displaced workers who live in the CMC district.

The college is also taking actions as part of it’s new CMC Responds initiative which includes extending the President’s scholarship for more graduating high school seniors, donating all available personal protective equipment to local hospitals and clinics, distributing donated laptops to students who need them and offering tutoring services to local parents that are now homeschooling, among other actions.

Colorado Mountain College is also extending its distance learning through the summer. You can find more CMC updates related to the coronavirus at coloradomtn.edu/covid19
