This week's Regional Roundup is a special in honor of Native American Heritage Month. We'll hear about the unique sister-city relationship between Longmont, Colorado, and the Northern Arapaho of the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Then, we turn to efforts in Boulder to more fully acknowledge the city’s role in the Sand Creek Massacre and what meaningful remembrance looks like today.

We also take you inside a powwow in western Colorado, and, to close the show, poet Crisosto Apache joins us to talk about their new collection, Is(ness), a reflection on identity, place, and the power of language. Tune into the Regional Roundup on KDNK.org every Thursday at 4:30 pm.
