  • The Roaring Fork Conservancy tours Aspen’s high mountain drinking water treatment facility tonight from 5 to 7. The plant treats water from Castle Creek. The tour meets rain or shine at the City of Aspen’s water department at 500 Doolittle Circle. It’s free but registration is required at roaring fork dot org.

  • At 5:30, check out John Harrison playing ballads and flamenco guitar solos at Basalt Library.

  • Explore Booksellers in Aspen features local teen poets from the First Word Poetry Team at 6. Then, at 8, columnist Liz Pryor reads from and signs her new memoir: “Look At You Now: My Journey from Shame to Strength” about her own teen pregnancy.

  • The Aspen Art Battle happens live at Sky Hotel at 6, benefiting Challenge Aspen. Art pieces will be sold in silent auction later in the evening.

  • Roaring Fork Singles hosts a Mix and Mingle Happy Hour at Glenwood Springs Brew Garden starting at 6. More info is on the Roaring Fork Singles Facebook page.

  • Aspen’s Thirsty Thursday Fun Run leaves the Mill Street Mall Fountain at 6:30.

  • Smokin’ Joe plays Limelight Hotel in Aspen at 6:30.

  • 5Point Outside comes to Carbondale at Bonnie Fischer Park next to the Third Street Center tonight. The band One Hot Mess warms up the crowd with bluegrass music from 6:30 to 8, while s’mores are shared around a bonfire. At 8, the 5Point team screens highlights from this past spring’s film festival and new, never-before-seen adventure films.

  • Local pianist Kyle Jones plays The Riviera Supper Club in Glenwood Springs at 7.

  • Also at 7, comedy veteran Deacon Gray stops by the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue. 18 & up only.

  • Haden Gregg, Hap Harriman, Dana Underwood & Bryan Savage play Heather’s in Basalt at 7.

  • And Steve’s Guitars brings The California Honeydrops to Carbondale at 8:30.
