DJ Mamabird is originally from Austin, Texas—the Live Music Capital of the World—where her music obsession began at birth. She has worked in music booking and production in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond for well over a decade and is grateful to be a small part of the incredible community asset that is KDNK. "Sharing music with the world is truly a gift, and there’s no better place to do that than at KDNK." The Flow Diggity was passed down to her by her friend DJ Rickdiculous, and she’s honored to continue the tradition of spinning brand-new releases across lo-fi, soul and funk, electronic, down tempo, nu-disco, indie rock, trip hop- and whatever else fits the flow.

Professor YaYa has lived and studied in multiple countries on five continents and learned to communicate in as many spoken languages, culinary arts and musical traditions. An avid aficionado of those forms of culture that bring us back into connection with ourselves, our fellow humans, and our Mother Earth, YaYa wants everyone to remember how we all belong to the tribe of Love: the one where we know to grieve and to praise the Holy in Nature and in One Another, the one where we take the time to care for our common home and find the courage to elevate the common good with our own two hands. To that end, he shares music that inspires us to feel hope that we can help each other coevolve into the highest forms of ourselves. Besides his own show "The Open Door," he is proud to have co-created the CMC/AZYEP collaboration "With My Own Two Hands," a KDNK public affairs program featuring sustainability-concerned youth from our communities interviewing multiple generations of sustainability practitioners in the RF Valley and beyond.
