Sara and and Marc McMillan aka McMission Presents LLC sat down with members of STS9 aka Sound Tribe Sector Nine - an instrumental 5 piece band that has influences of hip-hop, drum and bass, rock, funk, jazz, and electronica. Now based in Santa Cruz, California they formed in Atlanta, GA in 1997. Over the years they have released (11) albums together, formed their own record Label- 1320 records and continually break the molds of electronica, hip hop sampling and sheer instrumental energy, gaining a national and global fan base known for traveling to witness their unique high energy shows. Among other ideas, STS9 draws off the importance of our role in the vastness of the cosmos and the unity we share within the universe. The current five band members are Hunter Brown on Guitar and production, Alana Rocklin on Bass, David Phipps on Synthesizers/Keyboard, Zach Velmer on drums and Jefree Lerner on Percussion.
