Each edition of The Theme Show features songs which, by title, artist’s name (or occasionally by lyrics), match that show’s theme. An “America” theme for example would probably include American Girl (Tom Petty), America (Simon & Garfunkel) and We’re an American Band (Grand Funk Railroad). You’ll hear mostly classic rock, but often music from other genres if it fits the theme. Think about “America” from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. Occasionally there’s a contest where listeners can guess the theme and win a prize for doing so. Tune in - we’ll have some fun.
