Dave Kodama Etches Activism into Art

Dave Kodama

One week from Election Day, artist Dave Kodama joins DJ Mama Bird on the Flow Diggity show to talk about how his business Kenichi Woodworking is taking on social and racial injustice, fighting for women’s rights, and collaborating in new ways with other local artists.

DJ Mamabird is originally from Austin, Texas—the Live Music Capital of the World—where her music obsession began at birth. She has worked in music booking and production in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond for well over a decade and is grateful to be a small part of the incredible community asset that is KDNK. "Sharing music with the world is truly a gift, and there’s no better place to do that than at KDNK." The Flow Diggity was passed down to her by her friend DJ Rickdiculous, and she’s honored to continue the tradition of spinning brand-new releases across lo-fi, soul and funk, electronic, down tempo, nu-disco, indie rock, trip hop- and whatever else fits the flow.
