Artists’ Reception & Opening of "Continuum" at Ann Korologos Gallery

Artists’ Reception & Opening of "Continuum" at Ann Korologos Gallery

Ann Korologos Gallery presents "Continuum," a sweeping summer exhibition bringing together 100 works by more than 40 gallery artists in a dynamic exploration of connection across time, place and perspective. Opening with the gallery’s first in-person event of the year – Thursday, July 9 from 5 to 7PM – the exhibition will be celebrated with a public reception attended by visiting artists from across the region. Guests will have the rare opportunity to meet many of the exhibiting artists while experiencing the breadth and diversity of the exhibition firsthand.

Featuring at least two works by each represented artist, "Continuum" transforms the gallery into a vibrant conversation between mediums, generations and interpretations of the American West. Paintings, sculpture, printmaking and mixed-media works are brought together to reveal both the individuality of each artist’s voice and the threads that unite them.

“This exhibition is about continuity in every sense of the word,” said co-owners Sue Edmonds and Claire de L’Arbre. “The all-artist reception has become a tradition rooted in remembrance and community. What began as a gathering during Ann’s memorial celebration has evolved into something deeply meaningful — a reunion of artists, collectors and friends connected through art. Continuum reflects that spirit of connection.”

Rooted in the gallery’s longstanding mission to champion contemporary art of the West, Continuum reflects the breadth of artistic practices represented by Ann Korologos Gallery — from finely rendered landscapes and expressive abstraction to ceramics, bronzes and layered printmaking techniques. The exhibition highlights how artists continue to reinterpret regional narratives through personal experience, experimentation and craftsmanship.

More than an exhibition, Continuum serves as a celebration of the relationships that have shaped the gallery over more than three decades: the artists whose visions define its walls, the collectors who have supported their work, and the community that has gathered around art in historic downtown Basalt. Founded in 1993 and entering a new chapter under co-owners Sue Edmonds and Claire de L’Arbre, Ann Korologos Gallery remains committed to creating meaningful connections through art and fostering dialogue between artists and audiences.

Known for its thoughtfully curated exhibitions and welcoming atmosphere, Ann Korologos Gallery continues to showcase artists whose work reflects the depth, beauty and evolving identity of the contemporary West. Continuum is on view July 9 through August 5, 2026 with an opening reception on Thursday, July 9 from 5 to 7PM at Ann Korologos Gallery. The gallery is located at 211 Midland Avenue in Historic downtown Basalt. Learn more at korologosgallery.com and contact art@korologosgallery.com with questions or requests.
