The New Castle Rides & Reggae Festival is a celebration of all things trail running, mountain biking, music and community. Rides & Reggae includes a weekend full of fun including live music from local and national reggae influenced bands, along with a bit of bluegrass & funk stirred in the mix, with MTB and trail running races for all ability levels on the Colorow and Highland Trail Networks.

Not into MTB racing, no problem. Just ride your bike over to Down Valley Brewing on Friday, and up to VIX Ranch Park on Saturday to link up with other like minded people for a group ride. Not into mountain biking at all, that's ok too. Head up and toss a blanket on the ground and take in the beautiful views from VIX Ranch Park while listening to amazing live music.

August 2, 7am-10pm, VIX Ranch Park, New Castle, CO -

NEW CASTLE DIRTY DOZEN MTB RACE

-7:00 am start from VIX Ranch Park. 20 mile course with approximately 3,800 feet of climbing.

NEW CASTLE DIRTY HALF DOZEN MTB RACE

-9:30am start from VIX Ranch Park. 7 mile course with approximately 1,000 feet of climbing.

(12pm - MTB & Combo Race Awards at Down Valley Brewing (formerly Drifters Cafe), 589 W. Main St., New Castle.)
