Opening reception at the Carbondale Arts Gallery for "The Beauty of Beasts" by Megan George & "Everlasting Floral Design" by Abby Zlotnick
Carbondale Arts presents two exhibitions opening First Friday, October 2 from 5:00-7:00pm with artist talks beginning at 5:30pm. "The Beauty of Beasts" is a solo show by scratchboard artist Megan George. From her upbringing on a dairy farm to her career as a vet tech, animals have taught Megan the essence of what it means to be on this earth. Her work conveys the emotions and lessons that animals can teach us, in all their life stages.
"Everlasting Floral Design" is a solo show by Abby Zlotnick, owner of Juniper Farm, whose show celebrates the timeless beauty of locally-grown flowers through all-dried, everlasting arrangements and installations. Abby has been consistently inspired by farming since her first farming experience in 2012. Since then, Abby has made it her mission to share a slice of the Earth's greatest joys with her community.
Both exhibitions are generously sponsored by Land + Shelter Architecture Studio and Down Valley Brewing, and are on display through October 29. The gallery is open weekdays 10am-5pm
