Colorado’s nationally acclaimed Zikr Dance Ensemble celebrates its fifteenth year of touring with Mysteries, Rites & Revelations and the company’s premiere of Mobile with performances this March and April.
Mobile was choreographed in 1968 by Tomm Ruud, former dancer and choreographer with Ballet West and San Francisco Ballet. It is a ballet for three dancers who move in parallelograms to the music of Adam Khachaturian’s Adagio from the Gayne Suite. The San Francisco Chronicle called Mobile "fascinating, striking, [and] exquisitely conceived.”
