Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute invites you to our "Little Red Bag Club" for parents and their 0-5 year old children who are not enrolled in school. Join us for a weekly hour of story time, activities and snacks. Our classes support brain development and social skills. This program is facilitated in Spanish.

Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute te invita a participar en nuestro Club de Bolsitas Rojas, para peques de 0 a 5 años de edad que aún no participan en un programa preescolar y una persona adulta a su cuidado. Acompáñanos cada semana durante una hora que incluye cuentos, actividades y refrigerios. Nuestras clases respaldan el desarrollo cerebral y las aptitudes de socialización.

Young children and their caregivers are invited to the Children's Library every week for stories and songs in Spanish and English. This is a perfect opportunity to bond, explore and set the stage for early literacy and language skills.

This program is for children in grades 1st - 4th who want to practice their reading skills by reading one of their favorite books to a dog! Each child will have 15 minutes of time to read with their canine friend. Registration is required and each child will have an email reminder the day before. Calling all anime enthusiasts who are looking to find their fellow anime community members! Join us as we start an anime club at the library! Whether you've seen every episode of One Piece or are just starting your anime journey, this club is perfect for you. We will screen some favorite anime movies/series as voted on by participants who attend. We'll have a manga reading nook where you can dive into the latest volumes of your favorite series, and snacks and beverages. This program is designed for middle and high schoolers. Registration required.

¡Llamando a todas las personas amantes del anime que deseen encontrar a otros miembros de la comunidad con el mismo interés! ¡Acompáñanos para iniciar un club de anime en la biblioteca! Knitters and crocheters (and any other yarn workers) come together to work on and discuss projects, yarn, and techniques. Open to all; bring your own supplies and works-in-progress.

The Arbol Farmers Market is a year-round market in Paonia that accepts SNAP and Double Up Bucks and offers local organic produce, flowers, fruit, herbs, honey, meat, breads, artisan goods, and more. One of the highlights of our market is a donations-based, locally-sourced meal prepared by the Learning Council.

Our summer market runs every Tuesday from May 13th to October 14th at Paonia Town Park, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM for most of the season, with hours shifting to 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM starting September 2nd. It’s a lively community event with live music, wood-fired pizza, and educational opportunities throughout the season.

Tai Chi is an ancient system of flowing movements that can help to increase mobility, flexibility, strength, and balance. In this four-part series, participants will learn the basic movements and postures of Tai Chi, how to move the body into alignment without stress, and how to cultivate the Chi (breath-energy). All levels are welcome and no previous experience is required.

Come hang out at the Teen Café on early release Wednesdays. Middle and high schoolers can play the switch, create art, eat snacks, enjoy coffee, or work on homework. Feel free to hang out for a while or come and go as you please. Must be in Grades 5+ to enter the Teen Café.
