Community Calendar

Come hang out at the Teen Café on early release Wednesdays. Middle and high schoolers can play the switch, create art, eat snacks, enjoy coffee, or work on homework. Feel free to hang out for a while or come and go as you please. Must be in Grades 5+ to enter the Teen Café.

This afterschool program is for kids ages 5 to 11 years old. Meet on the Children's side of the library to participate in a variety of activities such as games, crafts, art, Legos and more!

Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art focused on re-directing conflict into harmony. Benefits include confidence, discipline, stress-relief, resilience, community-building and fitness. Kids' classes incorporate a mixture of technique and relevant games. As they progress, they will have the opportunity to test for colored belts.

High Rockies Harm Reduction provides free overdose prevention materials, education, resources and support, including Narcan, fentanyl test strips, condoms, syringe disposal, hygiene and wound care supplies, peer support and more EVERY Wednesday at Cook Inclusive's Queer Resource Space in New Castle from 4 PM - 6 PM

Kids' classes incorporate a mixture of technique and relevant games. As they progress, they will have the opportunity to test for colored belts.

The evening will include a one-of-a-kind silent auction, a spirited paddle-raise and a serenaded bonfire for a truly memorable gathering.

This is a vital occasion to support 5Point’s mission to build community and inspire change by showcasing and celebrating impactful stories of adventure. Your support is crucial in helping us produce our annual Flagship Festival and advance our community-based initiatives, including expanding our education programs, providing more robust financial and strategic support to emerging filmmakers, and offering free screenings within and downstream of the Roaring Fork Valley.

It’s time to put on your favorite boots, practice your loudest “yips” and “yeehaws,” and learn some line dances! We will learn basic moves and terminology in country (and pop!) dancing and then put them to work in choreography. You don’t need any experience to join these classes! All ages, genders, and abilities are welcome – after all, dancing is for everyone. All you need to bring is your willingness to learn, a big smile, and your shining presence!
