An evening of award-winning short films celebrating rivers, nature and environmental stewardship, presented by the Middle Colorado Watershed Council. Door prizes, plus snacks and beverages available for purchase.

We'll have a variety of activities available each week, along with snacks and a welcoming space where you can be yourself. No registration is required just stop by and make yourself at home!

"The Beauty of Beasts" is a solo show by scratchboard artist Megan George. From her upbringing on a dairy farm to her career as a vet tech, animals have taught Megan the essence of what it means to be on this earth. Her work conveys the emotions and lessons that animals can teach us, in all their life stages.

"Everlasting Floral Design" is a solo show by Abby Zlotnick, owner of Juniper Farm, whose show celebrates the timeless beauty of locally-grown flowers through all-dried, everlasting arrangements and installations. Abby has been consistently inspired by farming since her first farming experience in 2012. Since then, Abby has made it her mission to share a slice of the Earth's greatest joys with her community.

Both exhibitions are generously sponsored by Land + Shelter Architecture Studio and Down Valley Brewing, and are on display through October 29. The gallery is open weekdays 10am-5pm

Kids ages 6-11 are invited to explore, experiment, and create in our monthly Open Art Studio. This drop-in program offers a variety of art materials and creative stations where children can make art at their own pace - no instructions, no pressure, just imagination and fun. All materials provided.

Invitamos a todas las personitas entre los 6 y los 11 años de edad a explorar, experimentar y crear durante nuestro evento mensual Open Art Studio (Estudio de arte abierto). Este programa (en que los peques pueden participar sin la compañía de un adulto) ofrece una variedad de materiales de arte y estaciones creativas, donde podrás crear arte a tu propio ritmo — sin instrucciones y sin presión; sólo imaginación y diversión. AI is everywhere—and so are claims about what it can do, what it might change, and what it means for everyday life. In this welcoming, plain-language session, we’ll move beyond headlines and assumptions to examine what today’s AI can actually do, what it cannot, and what remains uncertain. We’ll also discuss basic principles for using AI safely and responsibly. See practical examples, ask questions, and leave better prepared to decide whether—and how—AI fits into your life. No technical experience, device, or hands-on participation is required.

La inteligencia artificial (AI) está en todas partes, al igual que los argumentos de lo que puede hacer, lo que podría cambiar y lo que significa en la vida cotidiana. En esta sesión (misma que será creada en un ambiente de bienvenida y presentada en un lenguaje sencillo), iremos más allá de los encabezados y las suposiciones para examinar lo que la AI puede hacer en realidad, lo que no es capaz de hacer y lo que aún permanece incierto. También discutiremos los principios básicos para el hacer uso de la AI de manera segura y responsable. Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute invites you to our "Little Red Bag Club" for parents and their 0-5 year old children who are not enrolled in school. Join us for a weekly hour of story time in Spanish, activities and snacks. These classes support brain development and social skills, and are led in Spanish.

Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute te invita a nuestro club de Bolsitas Rojas, diseñado para padres de familia y peques entre los 0 y 5 años de edad que aún no estén inscritos en la escuela. Acompáñanos durante una hora semanal con cuentos en espanol, actividades y refrigerios. ¡Estas clases respaldan el desarrollo cerebral y las aptitudes sociales de los peques y se dirigen en español!

Game on! Join us for Switch It Up, a free after-school gaming program where school-age kids and teens can take turns playing on the library's Nintendo Switch. Whether you're racing through Mario Kart, teaming up in a co-op adventure, or trying a new game for the first time, there's something for everyone. Meet new friends, practice good sportsmanship, and enjoy a fun, welcoming space to play, laugh, and connect. No experience is needed, just drop in and get ready to play!

Acompáñanos en Switch It Up, un programa de videojuegos después del horario escolar en el que adolescentes y personitas en edad escolar pueden tomar turnos jugando con el Nintendo Switch de la biblioteca.
