Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute invites you to our "Little Red Bag Club" for parents and their 0-5 year old children who are not enrolled in school. Join us for a weekly hour of story time, activities and snacks. These classes support brain development and social skills, and are led in Spanish.

Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute te invita a nuestro club de Bolsitas Rojas, diseñado para padres de familia y peques entre los 0 y 5 años de edad que aún no estén inscritos en la escuela. Acompáñanos durante una hora semanal con cuentos, actividades y refrigerios. ¡Estas clases respaldan el desarrollo cerebral y las aptitudes sociales de los peques y se dirigen en español!

Knitters and crocheters (and any other yarn workers) come together to work on and discuss projects, yarn, and techniques. Open to all; bring your own supplies and works-in-progress.

Las personas que disfrutan del tejido, ya sea con ganchos o agujas (y cualquier tipo de trabajo con estambre), se reúnen para trabajar en diversos proyectos y dialogar al respecto, además de conversar sobre las técnicas empleadas y los tipos de estambre utilizados. Community Yoga is a FREE weekly event - every Thursday! Preregistration is helpful but not required. Come and enjoy sharing space with other yogis! No previous expereince necessary! We gather we center - we practice - we honor self love. Join us!

Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art focused on re-directing conflict into harmony. Benefits include confidence, discipline, stress-relief, resilience, community-building and fitness. All levels practice together. We are affiliated with the United States Aikido Federation.

We are excited to invite families to our early literacy story times. Designed for all ages, we will enjoy stories, songs, and action rhymes in the Community Room. Sitting still is not a requirement for storytime. Young children can reap the benefits of storytelling and songs even while wandering. Give it a try. We would love to see you!

Con gran emoción deseamos invitar a todas las familias a nuestra hora de cuentos para respaldar la alfabetización temprana, creada para peques de todas las edades y presentada en nuestra Sala Comunitaria. Disfrutaremos de historias, canciones y juegos que combinan las rimas con el movimiento. Join the Aspen Science Center to dive into a STEM topic with hands-on, engaging activities! Every third Wednesday after school, kids 5-11 and their families can come enjoy hands-on science activities.

Únete a Aspen Science Center para sumergirte en diversos programas en las áreas de ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas (STEM por sus siglas en inglés), con actividades interesantes, divertidas y prácticas. Presentado todos los miércoles al finalizar el horario de las escuelas, para personitas entre los 5 y los 11 años de edad que deseen disfrutar de actividades científicas prácticas y sus familias.

Come hang out at the Teen Café on early release Wednesdays. Middle and high schoolers can play the switch, create art, eat snacks, enjoy coffee, or work on homework. Feel free to hang out for a while or come and go as you please. Must be in Grades 5+ to enter the Teen Café.

Ven a pasar un buen rato en el Teen Café los miércoles de salida temprana. Adolescentes cursando las escuelas media y media superior pueden venir a jugar con el Switch, crear arte, tomar bocadillos, beber un café o hacer sus tareas escolares. Do you have creative writing ideas stirring in your imagination? Do you like to read and write poems, plays, stories, songs, and more? Come to The Creative Writing Club for Teens at the Basalt Regional Library! Create and respond to fun writing prompts, learn writing style strategies, play wordplay games, empower your voice during our open mic sessions, receive prizes, and write, write, write your masterpieces. Bring water, a snack, and a journal. Registration is strongly encouraged to get an accurate count of participants. Led by Jessica Amber Barnum.
