Local political parties are prepping for caucuses this week, in anticipation of an exciting election season to come. Republican caucus attendees must be credentialed, for the meetings happening tomorrow in precincts throughout Garfield County. Check in is from 6-7pm, and the caucuses will begin at 7. Meetings will be held in Carbondale at Roaring Fork High School, Glenwood Springs at the Community Center, New Castle at Coal Ridge High School, Rifle at the County Fairgrounds, and in Parachute at the Battlement Mesa Community Center. The Democratic caucus will be an all-in-one affair held over Zoom, beginning at 1pm on Saturday, March 9th. However, attendees were requested to register by March 4th.
