For those facing food insecurity in the Roaring Fork Valley this summer, Lift-Up will be providing free and nutritious meals from Aspen to Parachute. Lift-Up has food pantries up and down the valley. The Pitkin County Human Services building in Aspen, the Third Street Center in Carbondale, Lift-Up Headquarters and Catholic Charities in Glenwood Springs, River Center in New Castle, 800 Railroad Avenue in Rifle, and 201 East 1st Street in Parachute, are all providing meals. In addition to these locations, Lift-Up hosts soup kitchens in Rifle and Glenwood Springs. In Rifle these are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 6 pm in the First United Methodist Church. In Glenwood Springs dinner is available Monday through Friday from 5 to 6 pm in the United Methodist Presbyterian Church. A full schedule for all the food pantry locations mentioned here can be found by going to liftup.org/calendar.
