20 year old Stephen Bull was reported missing by his family almost two weeks ago in Pitkin County. He was last seen in the Woody Creek vicinity on Tuesday December 2nd. Since then, Pitkin County Sheriffs and Mountain Rescue Aspen’s combined efforts have been unsuccessful. KDNK’s Lily Jones spoke with Pitkin County Sheriff’s Parker Lathrop to learn more.

Pitkin County's Stephen Bull left his home on the afternoon of December 2nd, wearing a dark coat, khaki pants, tan boots, and glasses. And since his family reported him missing, there's been no sign of him. Here's the Pitkin County Sheriff's Parker Lathrop.

Lathrop: We've continued our search for that individual in the area we believe him to be or to have gone. But so far we have, we've not located him during that time. We've searched with the help of Mountain Rescue Aspen and other regional partners. We've searched that area almost every day or parts of that area every day with search teams, with drones, and with search dogs. And so far we have, we have not found anything, gives us any more direction than we had the first day.

KDNK: Okay. And I saw on the original media release that he is possibly thought to be armed. Can you expand on why?

Lathrop: We don't believe him to be a danger to the public, but it is, it's relevant to, to when he, he did leave his home so we, we believe he was armed when he left, and so we felt that pertinent to include in the release, but we don't believe him to be in danger to the public.

Lathrop says that anyone with any information regarding Stephen Bull's disappearance, his current whereabouts, or anybody who's seen anything suspicious, should contact the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office directly at (970) 920-5300.
