Buckhorn Public Arts brought LUCIA's projection-mapping artwork back to the facade of the Wheeler Opera House on December 12th for Wintersköl. Founder Tim Sack sat down with KDNK's Chris Hassig beforehand to discuss this latest project, the history of the organization, and other initiatives to expect in 2026.
Chris is the boring half of the Deep Breakfast duo, sidekick to the infamous Thunderbuns. He's lived in Carbondale since 1991 (age 4) and listened to KDNK growing up. On Deep Breakfast he explores Jazz, Reggae, Blues, Experimental, African and other World music or whatever miscellanea happens to be bouncing around inside his noggin at the moment. When not at the boards he's a visual artist and ski bum. You can check out his work at chrishassig.com.
