DJ Chris Hassig
Deep... & Jazz After ArtChris co-hosts 'The Deep...' alongside Cody Lee every Friday from Noon to 2pm, as well as 'Jazz After Art' every other Tuesday from 9-11pm (and often much, much later!). He's lived in Carbondale since 1991 (age 4) and listened to KDNK growing up. 'The Deep...' is an unpredictable blend of whatever Cody & Chris decide to dive into. That could be americana, roots, rock, reggae, blues, latin, world and way beyond, commonly emphasizing either new releases or unearthed treasures donated to the KDNK music library. On 'Jazz After Art' Chris offers a late night exploration across a range of new and old jazz styles, experiments, and cultural interpretations. When not at the boards he's a visual artist, ski bum, and KDNK Membership Coordinator. You can check out his work at chrishassig.com.
