Jyemo Juju

Jonny Jyemo is an A-list go-to drummer for many Colorado bands. But for his own band, The Jyemo Club, he lets someone else pound the skins while he directs the chaos of a ten-piece band. He also picks up the rhythm guitar, charango and Andean flutes. Jonny calls his music Busta Music. It's multi culti world rebel music with elements of Afro-Cuban, cumbia, funk and reggae. The Jyemo Club headlines Saturday at this year's Mountain Fair. KDNK's Luke Nestler spoke with Jonny about his band and his CD So Near So Far.

A 45-year resident of the Roaring Fork Valley, a DJ since 1989, on KDNK staff since 2004.
