Local musicians Rai Omri (guitar and vocals) and Cami Backman (violin) serenade Cody and Chris in the studio, and talk about their most recent recordings.
Rai Omri and Cami Backman Share Some Songs in the KDNK Studio
Cody Lee has had a lifelong love for community and public radio. First as a baby, with KPFT Houston, then KUT Austin, followed by KGNU Denver/Boulder, KMNO Maui and finally KDNK Carbondale. Cody has DJed at KDNK since 2009 and served as the Music Director since 2019.
Chris is the boring half of the Deep Breakfast duo, sidekick to the infamous Thunderbuns. He's lived in Carbondale since 1991 (age 4) and listened to KDNK growing up. On Deep Breakfast he explores Jazz, Reggae, Blues, Experimental, African and other World music or whatever miscellanea happens to be bouncing around inside his noggin at the moment.
