Two citizen's groups - Battlement Concerned Citizens and the Grand Valley Citizen's Alliance recently filed suit against the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) in Denver District Court. KDNK's Amy Hadden Marsh spoke with Leslie Robinson of the Grand Valley Citizen's Alliance about why they were forced to sue the COGCC.
The suit comes less than a month after the commission refused both groups' request for a hearing about the location of a natural gas well at Battlement Mesa.
The "A" pad, which is owned by Ursa Resources, is slated to be built within about 500 feet of a neighborhood.
