Bear cubs either sleeping or dead in a Colorado Parks and Wildlife trap because a homeowner failed to close a window overnight in Meadowood

KDNK's News Director Morgan Neely has the news, including updates on the family of five bears that recently met a tragic end in Aspen. Also, the number of fatal drug overdoses in Colorado continues to climb, with the state's per capita rate of drug deaths nearly doubling. Meanwhile, traffic lights meant to ease congestion in the Narrows on Independence Pass may become permanent. And, although the Mountain West has had a decent monsoon season, the region remains in serious trouble with long-term drought.
