Sweetwater Lake has been a thorn in the side of Garfield County Commissioners since Governor Jared Polis surprised them with an announcement that the recently conserved gem would become Colorado's 43rd state park.

KDNK's Morgan Neely has Wednesday's news, including an in-depth look at Tuesday's municipal election results in Glenwood Springs. We hear from the winners, and the losers, in races for seats on City Council. Also, Garfield County Commissioners are trying a different tack in their continuing war against a state park at Sweetwater Lake; federal officials are dubious. And, a Denver company unveiled a new carbon capture device this week. We go to a kickoff event at their plant, along with Gov. Jared Polis.

Morgan is KDNK's News Director. He comes to KDNK with public radio passion and experience. He was a news host, reporter, and operations/programming director at KAJX-Aspen, and has extensive experience working in municipal government.
