Author Casey Rae’s book William S. Burroughs and the Cult of Rock n Roll is out now on University of Texas Press. Casey Rae is Director of Music Licensing for SiriusXM, professor at Georgetown University and Berklee College of Music, and sought-after commentator in Politico, Billboard, NPR, Gizmodo, Ars Technica, New York Times and Washington Post. He also runs a record label called Lux Eterna, has been playing in bands since the 90s, wrote about music at an alt-weekly newspaper in Vermont for many years back in the day, then turned to activism working his way up to CEO of the nonprofit Future of Music Coalition fighting for musicians’ rights and even lobbying on behalf of community radio.
