The chase ended with the suspect vehicle heading east on westbound I-70 and crashing. The suspect, identified as Eric Reynolds, tried to flee and allegedly brandished a weapon.

The Sheriff’s office says he refused to obey police commands and was shot by officers. Reynolds was pronounced dead at the scene.
