Before COVID-19, local arts organization VOICES was working towards its second annual Women's Voices Theater project. 8 local women taking the stage with work they created. This is important because women's work is produced 1/5th as often as men's on stage. Unfortunately VOICES had to postpone the event to Mother's Day, 2021. But they wouldn't let the pandemic have the final say! To provide an outlet for these performers, they produced a special podcast titled "The Collective Pause" that aired on Mother's Day. It features work from Suzie Brady, Vanessa Porras, Renee Prince, Natalie Spears, Marcia Weese and MinTze Wu. All reflecting on their experience with lockdown. Some more serious pieces, some humor - all heart.
