Amy Hadden Marsh/KDNK

In early January, 2021, Terra Energy Partners, which bought Ursa Resources after Ursa went bankrupt in September, 2020, abandoned plans for new natural gas operations inside the Battlement Mesa PUD. Battlement Mesa resident activists talk about what this means for the community.Guests are Dave Devanney, former chair of Battlement Concerned Citizens who now lives in Denver, Betsy Leonard, Battlement Mesa resident, Larry Foreman, current chair of BCC, and Leslie Robinson, director of the Grand Valley Citizens Alliance. All have been involved in the struggle to keep natural gas drilling out of Battlement Mesa neighborhoods since 2009.
