Host Brian Colley talks with native Roaring Fork Valley artist Reina Katzenberger who has just begun her 3 week residency/installation at the Art Base Gallery in Basalt. We'll also hear about the Public Arts Commission's ice sculpture event coming up this weekend and talk to a couple of the artists involved. Plus an update from the Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers director of communications Jacob Baker about community stewardship and their call to artists for their annual themed poster contest.
Carbondale and the Roaring Fork Valley are full of creative artists expressing themselves. And Carbondale Creative District is a hub of artistic activity. Express Yourself is hosted by a team of creatives from the District, reporting on all the latest artistic happenings. That team is led by Amy Kimberly and includes Brian Colley, Aly Sanguilly, Kat Rich, Staci Dickerson, and KDNK staff. The show is focused on Roaring Fork events but travels beyond the valley to seek out interesting creatives and communities doing good work in the 21st century.
