Books are a resource that everyone should be able to enjoy. But valley resident and doctor Rebecca Percy realized that many of her patients didn’t have equal access to reading materials. Percy and a group of volunteers started putting together the Free For All Book Fair which made its debut in Leadville last year. The fair is back this year on December 13th and it’s grown significantly.

The Andy Zanca Youth Empowerment Program's project coordinator, Adele Craft, speaks with guests Suzanne Wheeler and Rosa Vargas of Raising a Reader, as well as local children's book author Lisa Dancinglight and Andrea Suarez, Early Childhood Family Liaison. They discuss the importance of early literacy and bilingual education. You will also hear a special reading of the Spanish translation of Lisa's book, Magic Mountain.
