    In 2018, the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation purchased land in Southeastern Idaho. For decades it was used for farming. But that hid a much darker history. Now, there are efforts to restore the land.
  • Longtime KDNK DJ Michael Francisco was dropped to the floor and arrested at City Market in Carbondale on Christmas Eve 2020. All charges were later dropped. Now he's suing City Market and the Kroger Corporation for racial discrimination.

And, representatives of the Ute Mountain Utes want their 20,000 acre ranch near Gunnison designated as a reservation, while the Northwestern Band of the Shoshonee in Southeastern Idaho is changing the legacy of a tract of land that hides a fateful history.
