Pride Parade

This year, Delta, Colorado had its own representation in Denver. Delta Pride’s founder and leader, Xavier Saenz (also known as Xavier Van Dyke), performed at Denver Pride Center Stage on Saturday. For Saenz, being able to perform in one of the largest LGBTQ celebrations amidst the challenges facing his community was a dream come true for the small town transman.

On this month's episode of Dimensions in Diversity, host Kaleb Cook talks with Hallah Bates, Vocational Manager of Cook Inclusive, and her client, Harper. They discuss disability services and events in the Roaring Fork Valley, as well as the recent Carbondale pride parade.

The first annual Delta Pride festival was held on September 24th. The one-day event was billed “unapologetically relevant” and began with a recognition of the Ute land, and a small Pride march.
