37-year-old Renee Good was shot and killed by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis on Wednesday, January 7. Good, who was originally from Colorado, was shot in her car in front of her wife during a traffic stop. A peaceful vigil took place in Carbondale on January 8 to honor Renee Nicole Good & all victims of ICE. Around 60 people came to Chacos Park at the corner of 4th & Main just after dark. They brought candles, flashlights, or phone lights that were placed in a circle in the park. The mood was somber and muted, and perhaps tinged with a new flush of anger.
