Slope & Hatch Snowmass Grand Opening
Slope & Hatch Snowmass Grand Opening
The wait is finally over. Snowmass is rolling out the welcome mat for Slope & Hatch, the beloved Roaring Fork Valley original, as it opens the doors to its brand-new Snowmass Base Village location on December 12, 2025.
Taking over the lively space inside The Collective, the opening celebration runs from 5–9 p.m. and promises a feast—literally—with complimentary bites and a cash bar. DJ, Romy Ancona will be spinning high vibe tunes during the Grand Opening event to welcome Slope & Hatch to the village.
“Slope & Hatch has been a go-to for locals and visitors for nearly a decade,” said Sarah Sanders, Director of Plaza Venues & Events—known around Base Village as the Director of Fun. “People love their inventive, globally inspired comfort food, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to their new home in Snowmass. Having them support our events, Game Lounge, and plaza only elevates the guest experience and strengthens the sense of community we strive to create.”
Owner Gregg Lemkau says the Snowmass outpost will double down on what earned Slope & Hatch its cult following. “We focus on simple things done exceptionally well,” Lemkau said. “Top-notch ingredients, bold flavors, and food that hits the spot without hitting your wallet. Our menu has something for everyone—vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters—and it’s anything but ordinary.”
Guests can expect fan favorites like Jerk Chicken Tacos, Chorizo Hash Tacos, the iconic Classic Chicago Dog, and the no-regrets Lamb Curry Fries—the perfect post-slope fuel-up.
And the bar program? Just as adventurous. Whether you’re pairing a Shrimp Po’ Boy with a standout Colorado craft beer or sipping an Oaxacan Old Fashioned, the drink menu delivers as much personality as the food.
The Snowmass opening marks Slope & Hatch’s third location, joining longtime flagship Glenwood Springs (est. 2013) and Eagle (2024). Lemkau also owns the popular Rocky Mountain Pizza in Glenwood Springs.
With indoor and prime outdoor seating around the ice rink, Slope & Hatch aims to become the après-ski gathering spot. “After a great day on the mountain, people just want something tasty, a good drink, and a place to kick back,” Lemkau said. “And for families, it’s ideal—you can unwind while the kids dive into The Collective Game Lounge or hit the ice rink.”
