Mornings - 7:00-9:00 am - FREE Bonfire coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and breakfast snacks (can you say donuts and Plosky’s pastries?) for cyclists on the corner of 4th & Main in downtown Carbondale.

Come join us for a fun and engaging art class designed for preschoolers and their caregivers! This monthly collaboration between The Art Base and Focused Kids provides a unique opportunity for young children to explore their creativity through hands-on art activities and mindfulness practices. In a supportive, playful environment, children will explore their imagination and experience the joy of creating, while learning self-regulation and calming techniques.

Each session is a collaborative effort between The Art Base and Focused Kids and is led by experienced instructors including Rebecca Segal, a seasoned educator and mindfulness practitioner. Rebecca brings over 13 years of experience working with preschoolers and is known for her ability to blend art, movement, and mindfulness in ways that help children engage more fully in their learning process. With her background as a yoga instructor and her work in early childhood education, Rebecca fosters a space where creativity, focus, and connection flourish.

The class emphasizes a calm, nurturing atmosphere where children and caregivers alike can explore together, learn new skills, and enjoy quality time. It’s the perfect opportunity to spark creativity in your child while also developing their ability to focus, share, and express themselves.

Attend a thoughtful and interactive discussion on aging and end-of-life care at the Carbondale Branch Library. Sopris Lodge's Executive Director, Marie Herr, will join a panel of regional care experts to share insights, answer questions, and highlight the senior living community's partnership with HomeCare & Hospice of the Valley in providing compassionate palliative and end-of-life care for residents and families. Free and open to the public.

High Rockies Harm Reduction provides free Narcan, safe use supplies and more every Thursday at the Brush Creek Park & Ride from 4 - 6 PM

A fun bike scavenger hunt around town for teams of two to six people. We will meet at 5:45 pm at Aloha Mountain Cyclery. All ages are encouraged, and we will have a shorter “family” division that will be focused on the Rio Grande pathway for safety and fun. Helmets and signed waivers required, phones needed, and costumes strongly recommended! Kids under 14 are welcome with an adult. Post-scavenger hunt party with music provided, fizzy water, beer, and pizza from Peppinos (get there early when it’s gone, it’s gone). Oh, this is when we’ll be raffling off a bunch of good things for you and your bike too!

Carbondale Arts presents “Youth Arts Showcase” in the Carbondale Arts Gallery on display May 23 - June 26, 2025.
This exhibition features works produced from two local programs. The Carbondale Arts Creative Apprentice Program employs teens to work with local creative professionals to develop works of community value while gaining exposure to and experience in contemporary creative professions. The Stepping Stones Artist Residency Program which offers culturally-responsive, bilingual arts programming for youth. This exhibition will be on display through June 26 with an opening reception on June’s First Friday 5:00-7:00pm

An engaging time where you and your child are invited to listen to stories, participate in large motor movement, experience sensory activities, and be able to interact with other children and caregivers. This is geared to children 0-3 years old.

Éste es un momento divertido e interesante en el cual tú y tu peque pueden escuchar historias, participar en movimientos que fortalecen la motricidad, experimentar actividades sensoriales e interactuar con más peques y personas adultas a su cuidado. Este programa está diseñado para peques de 0 a 3 años de edad. El programa será facilitado en inglés.
