Service Elevator is a live, student-produced event that elevates local nonprofits through storytelling, community connection, and real impact.

Please join us on April 20 at the Third Street Center in Carbondale for an evening where creative work meets purpose—featuring nonprofit spotlights, inspiring stories, and opportunities to engage and give. Free Dinner will be provided by Phat Thai, Dos Gringos, and 3B's Bakery! This community event is being produced by CMC/Isaacson Integrated Media students and Isaacson Works, our student-powered creative agency.

Material Haiku MMXXVI by Gaby Oshiro turns her divergent exploration on the evocative power of materials, techniques, and the balance between; subtraction-addition, destruction-creation, chaos-order. A painting is an aesthetic object with its own expressive power that acquires ontological status.
Kindred Spirits is a two-person exhibition by ceramic artist Christine Anderson and abstract painter Benjamin Strawn who share a forty-plus year friendship centered on the exploration and interplay of artistic ideas. Their work embodies their shared creative vision, their love and care for each other, and their emotive depth.

The opening reception will be Friday, April 17 from 5-7pm with an artist talk beginning at 5:30pm. Both shows are on display through May 21.

Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute invites you to our "Little Red Bag Club" for parents and their 0-5 year old children who are not enrolled in school. Join us for a weekly hour of story time, activities and snacks. These classes support brain development and social skills, and are led in Spanish.

Free events all week including Sopris Sessions with live music, the 5Point 5K, Family Film Program with Timmy O'Neill, Ice Cream Social, author talks, and a Stio Second Turn pop-up. Each session features engaging activities and experiments led by a high school apprentice from the Aspen Science Center apprenticeship program. Kids will dive into fun projects in science, technology, engineering, and math — building curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills along the way. Free and all materials will be provided. Designed for kids ages 6-12.

Join us for Mahjong at Basalt Regional Library, an open play session welcoming players of all experience levels. Whether you’re a seasoned player or completely new to the game, you’re invited to enjoy an afternoon of strategy, skill, and community. Facilitators will be available to help beginners learn the basics and feel comfortable getting started.

Space is limited, so registration is required. The library also has a limited number of Mahjong sets available, so if you have your own set, please consider bringing it along. We look forward to seeing you at the table!

Acompáñanos para un juego de Mahjong en la Biblioteca Regional de Basalt, una sesión abierta de juego en la que damos la bienvenida a personas en todos los niveles de destreza. Ya sea que tengas mucha experiencia en este juego o que sea tu primera vez jugándolo, te invitamos a disfrutar de una tarde de estrategia, destreza y comunidad.
