Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art focused on re-directing conflict into harmony. Benefits include confidence, discipline, stress-relief, resilience, community-building and fitness. Kids' classes incorporate a mixture of technique and relevant games. As they progress, they will have the opportunity to test for colored belts.
Community Yoga is a FREE weekly event - every Thursday! Preregistration is helpful but not required. Come and enjoy sharing space with other yogis! No previous expereince necessary! We gather we center - we practice - we honor self love. Join us!

Sopris Lodge has partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association to offer a free in-person support group for families, spouses, and caregivers of those living with Alzheimer’s or related dementia. The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month and is open to the public.
This program is for children in grades 1st - 4th who want to practice their reading skills by reading one of their favorite books to a dog! Each child will have 15 minutes of time to read with their canine friend. Registration is required and each child will have an email reminder the day before. The Mindful Meals Series is a weekly opportunity to learn about valuable community resources while sharing a meal in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Each week, a different local organization will visit to share what they do and how they support individuals and families in the community.
Participating organizations include:
(11/4) Literacy Outreach, which provides adult literacy and life skills support
(11/11) Voces Unidas, which advocates for and empowers Latine communities
This series offers a space for meaningful conversation, community connection, and greater awareness of local support services.

Cada semana, contaremos con la visita de una organización local distinta, la cual compartirá su labor y la manera en que apoya a los diversos individuos y familias de nuestra comunidad.
