Lance R Blyth will tell some “Unkown Tales of the Tenth,” unexpected stories he learned while researching and writing Ski, Climb, Fight: The 10th Mountain Division and the Rise of Mountain Warfare (Oklahoma, 2024). These include that a unit called 10th Mountain was never at Camp Hale, that the Roaring Fork Valley almost became the site of the Army’s mountain training camp, and that mountain training continued in Colorado after WW II well into the 1950s.

Join Tara Trudell as she offers a sacred and kind space to come together to participate in a shared personal ceremony of rolling our own prayer beads that empower us on our personal and collective paths. This can be a healing and powerful transference of energy that uplifts the spirit and continues to uplift our own purpose in knowing we are creating kinship in the purest de-colonial way possible. Taking back and defining our own value in each bead.
Your day includes nature, meditation, nourishing lunch and sacred art.
