Intermediate-Advanced Intensive August 11-15 with A Midsummer Night's Dream Performance by the Crystal River Youth Ballet Company August 16 & 17 at the Launchpad.

What could make storytime with the Children's Librarian even more exciting? Live music, of course! At Tunes & Tales, listeners are treated to enchanting stories thoughtfully blended with music curated by the Music Coordinator and performed by students from the Aspen Music Festival and School. Experience the magic of musical storytelling as you enjoy this fan favorite event, back for another year.

¿Qué podemos hacer para que la hora de cuentos con nuestra bibliotecaria infantil sea todavía más emocionante? Música en vivo, ¡por supuesto! En Tunes & Tales (tonadas y cuentos), la audiencia tiene el placer de escuchar historias encantadoras, cuidadosamente combinadas con música dirigida por el coordinador musical e interpretada por estudiantes de Aspen Music Festival and School. Vive la magia de la narrativa musical mientras disfrutas del evento predilecto de muchas personas aficionadas, el cual regresa nuevamente este año.

We’re back with another Short Film Festival for Teens at the Basalt Regional Library! We’re partnering with Aspen Film to offer film screenings for middle and high school students. The film program will focus on how we color our world with our stories and experiences through animation! The festival will be followed by a storyboarding workshop where we will learn about how filmmakers plan their shots and adapt folktales to create our own storyboards. This program will offer snacks and registration is required.

Estamos de regreso con otro evento de cortometrajes para adolescentes en la Biblioteca Regional de Basalt: ¡Short Film Festival for Teens! En colaboración con Aspen Film presentaremos cortometrajes para estudiantes de las escuelas media (middle school) y media superior (high school). El programa cinematográfico se enfocará en las diversas maneras en que Coloreamos Nuestro Mundo con historias y experiencias ¡mediante la animación! Al finalizar el festival contaremos con un taller de guiones gráficos en el que aprenderemos la manera en que los cineastas planean sus tomas cinematográficas y adaptaremos cuentos populares para poder crear nuestros propios storyboards (guiones gráficos). En este programa contaremos con refrigerios y se requiere una inscripción para participar.

Cocoa Club is excited to open summer with a happy hour every Thursday and Friday 3-5pm! Tiki drinks every week. $10 cocktails plus Brazilian champagne. Something new every week! Chocolate will be involved!

Hear the inspiring freshness and joy of tomorrow's stars perform chamber music in the intimate atmosphere of Basalt Library Community Room. Each week different talented students from the Aspen Music Festival and School will perform. Please note that this concert begins at 5:15PM.

Escucha la inspiradora frescura y la alegría de la música de las estrellas del mañana, quienes interpretarán música de cámara en la íntima atmósfera de la Sala Comunitaria en la Biblioteca de Basalt. Cada semana se presentarán diferentes alumnas talentosas del Aspen Music Festival and School. Tenga en cuenta que este concierto comienza a las 17:15. El programa será facilitado en inglés.
