We hosted banjo player Chris Coole and fiddler John Showman for a spectacular show in the fall of 2024, and this spring we’re excited to bring back the full band with upright bassist Max Malone.

This hard-driving trio hails from Toronto, Canada. Masters of their trade, they bring grit, skill and abandon to Americana music, bridging old-time, bluegrass and folk traditions into a seamless hybrid of original material that is at once fresh and timeless.

With impeccable instrumental chops and vocal harmonies, their interpretations of the traditional repertoire as well as original compositions are fueled by consummate musicianship and infectious energy.

Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute invites you to our "Little Red Bag Club" for parents and their 0-5 year old children who are not enrolled in school. Join us for a weekly hour of story time, activities and snacks. These classes support brain development and social skills, and are led in Spanish.

Get ready to explore, experiment, and discover! Join us every first and third Tuesday afternoon for a hands-on science workshop at the library. Each session features engaging activities and experiments led by a high school apprentice from the Aspen Science Center apprenticeship program. Kids will dive into fun projects in science, technology, engineering, and math — building curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills along the way. Free and all materials will be provided. Designed for kids ages 6-12.

Knitters and crocheters (and any other yarn workers) come together to work on and discuss projects, yarn, and techniques. Open to all; bring your own supplies and works-in-progress.

Discover watercolor’s versatility in a skill-building, creatively rich course. Learn wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, salt texture, and wax resist, plus paint handling, layering, and composition. Build confidence with guided exercises, then create finished pieces: a landscape, floral portrait, and expressive watercolor collage. All levels welcome—experiment, refine your style, and deepen your understanding of watercolor as a medium of personal expression.

We are excited to invite families to our early literacy story times. Designed for all ages, we will enjoy stories, songs, and action rhymes in the Community Room. Sitting still is not a requirement for storytime. Young children can reap the benefits of storytelling and songs even while wandering. Give it a try. We would love to see you!

Con gran emoción deseamos invitar a todas las familias a nuestra hora de cuentos para respaldar la alfabetización temprana, creada para peques de todas las edades y presentada en nuestra Sala Comunitaria. Disfrutaremos de historias, canciones y juegos que combinan las rimas con el movimiento. High Rockies Harm Reduction provides free overdose prevention materials, education and support, including Narcan and fentanyl test strips, syringe disposal, hygiene supplies, peer support and more EVERY Wednesday in the West Glenwood Mall Parking Lot from 12 PM - 2 PM

Join the Aspen Science Center to dive into a STEM topic with hands-on, engaging activities! Every third Wednesday after school, kids 5-11 and their families can come enjoy hands-on science activities.
