Inspired by true events, the short showcases a young Native American boy struggling with societal expectations and, through tradition, discovers strength and resilience. After the short, join for a talk back with Film Director, Eric Michael Hernandez, and Writer/Director, George Valencia.

Now based in New Orleans with strong ties to upstate New York, his music is as seasoned as it is soulful.

Music on the Mountain – Church of Cash
The Johnny Cash tribute show performed by singer Jay Ernest and his band is an unforgettable experience that brings the music of the Man in Black to life. Jay Ernest’s deep, resonant voice sounds remarkably like Cash’s, and he captures the essence of the legendary performer with his dynamic stage presence.

The show features an electrifying setlist that includes all of Cash’s greatest hits, from “I Walk the Line” to “Ring of Fire” and beyond. The band’s musicianship is impeccable, and they create an authentic sound that’s true to Cash’s original recordings.

In addition to the music, the show includes captivating stories and anecdotes about Cash’s life and career, adding an extra dimension of entertainment and education for audiences of all ages. With backgrounds ranging from Jazz composition to musical theater, the band creates a sound that can be described as a fresh take on classic funk, soul and pop. This free, family-friendly event is located in The Redstone Park with a playground on one side for the kids and the beautiful Crystal River on the other side.

Hand Turkey returns to Coal Basin Ranch, bringing high-energy, groove-centered tunes that get people moving. With backgrounds ranging from jazz composition to musical theater, the band plays a fresh take on classic funk, soul and pop.

Our friends at Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association will be sharing info about the Ranch’s ~10 miles of trails and the 24-mile “Big Loop.” Arrive early to explore the trails in the greater Coal Basin area, then join us for dancing, green chile stew sampling (’tis the season!), and camaraderie to close out the Redstone Magical Moments live music series for 2025.
