Community Calendar

Learn practical vocabulary and practice speaking with those who are at a similar skill level. This conversation club will give you the opportunity to gain confidence and have fun while building your Spanish language skills. Everyone with a beginner to intermediate level understanding of Spanish is invited to join the conversation! Meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month starting July 17th.

Stevie Lizard played guitar in the Junior Wells Chicago Blues Band from 1994-97,  touring the world and playing on the Grammy-nominated Live at Buddy Guy’s Legends.  His trio plays classic rock and sweet soul, as well as Chicago Blues.

An engaging time where you and your child are invited to listen to stories, participate in large motor movement, experience sensory activities, and be able to interact with other children and caregivers. This is geared to children 0-3 years old.

Cocoa Club is excited to open summer with a happy hour every Thursday and Friday 3-5pm! Tiki drinks every week. $10 cocktails plus Brazilian champagne. Something new every week! Chocolate will be involved!

Join us for our weekly Friday afternoon club at the AMERICAN LEGION at 97 N. 3rd St. in Carbondale. There will be live music from 5 to 7 weekly, and a burger, a beer and a bag of chips for $10. We also have horseshoe pits, cornhole, and shuffleboard for some summer fun. This event is open to the public every Friday.

A Way Out and The Meeting Place partner to offer two free yoga classes weekly for individuals, friends, and families in recovery from addiction. Mats, blocks, and straps are provided. No registration required.

Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art focused on re-directing conflict into harmony. Benefits include confidence, discipline, stress-relief, resilience, community-building and fitness. All levels practice together. We are affiliated with the United States Aikido Federation.

Live Music with Wade Waters

Come help celebrate Coal Basin Ranch's 5th birthday with David Brown from Raising Appalachia at the Coal Basin Ranch, just outside of Redstone. He is a multi -instrumentalist and singer steeped in the traditions of Appalachia and Irish Folk music. Brown will be joined by other muscician friends including local favorite, Natalie Spears.
